Portfolio Design Workshop, Critique and Support

Feedback on your portfolio usually comes after the fact -- when you get the job, or when you're accepted into graduate school. The Institute for Architectural Research wants to change that by giving you portfolio advice right away.

The Portfolio Design Workshop is about taking ownership of your creative work. Having a well-designed portfolio is the first step toward managing the success of your own career. The Institute will help coordinate your entire application: we help fine-tune graphic layouts, review resumes, review letters of intent, and cover letters. We can help create a portfolio package from scratch, or we can help improve one that you've already started. Let us know how we can help.

In addition to the portfolio critique, we offer the following graphic tutorials on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and AfterEffects.

Meeting in person is not required. We conduct all meetings online via google meet, and all image content will be exchanged through a secure file server.
