Memory in Form
Geometry and Architecture of Postwar Memorials since 1945

Scott Aker · With a foreword by Richard Wesley

Forthcoming from Birkhäuser in 2027, Memory in Form explores how geometry shapes public remembrance. Bringing together more than a decade of research and teaching, its 296 illustrations include analytical drawings, geometric reconstructions, photographs, and archival images. Drawing becomes a method for understanding how memorials connect history, site, material, and movement—and for informing their design.
